Bone Visualization
Bone Visualization
The Bone Visualization feature in APX allows you to display the bone structure of a 3D model interactively and clearly within the preview window. This feature is crucial for game developers and designers who need to inspect or correct the bone hierarchy and ensure proper binding between bones and animations.
When enabled, all bones are displayed on the model as visible lines or shapes. You can customize their colors and sizes via APX settings. Additionally, you can toggle the visibility of bone names to quickly identify each bone during your workflow.
One smart feature of APX is the tooltip that appears when you hover the mouse over any bone. This tooltip shows important details such as the bone’s name, its parent bone, the number of child bones, and other technical information. This makes it easy to inspect the skeleton without manually searching or navigating through the Hierarchy window.
Bone Visualization is especially useful for:
Inspecting weight painting or rigging issues in models.
Verifying correct motion transfer between bones.
Analyzing the bone structure of imported or complex models.
Key Features of Bone Visualization:
Display all bones visually on the model.
Customize bone color and size to your preference.
Toggle bone name visibility for easy identification.
Highlight important or main bones in the rig.
Show detailed tooltips on mouse hover for quick inspection and analysis.
Hover your mouse over any bone to quickly view its details without needing to search through the Hierarchy.
